Principal’s Message

Dear Parents/Guardians & Students,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all staff and students to school after a long period away due to the covid-19 pandemic. As difficult as it has been for all staff, students and parents alike, we hope this will not be a repeated process.

As the Covid19 measures were eased, we still will have to be extra careful about school procedures and personal hygiene. Our parents were already notified about the pick-up and drop-off rules. They are still in place and will be until the end of the term. We have placed extra hand sanitizer units in the corridors so students can readily use them. Classrooms have hand sanitizers for student usage during class time. Teachers constantly emphasize to the students the importance of keeping social distancing during class and recess. Some families are hesitant on sending students to school; however, we are in close contact with government agencies who have given the green light on the return to school.

On a happier note, we are delighted to announce that the construction of Dallas Primary Campus has been completed as scheduled. We are preparing to make the big move to our new campus during term break. After a not so happy start to the year with all the chaos of the virus around the world, we hope that the relocation will be a new beginning. 2020 will be an unforgettable year with sadness felt worldwide but for Sirius College Primary Campus will also symbolise a new beginning.

As I had stated in the official broadcast notice that the official move will be taking place during the term break when students are on holidays. We are hoping to have a smooth transition upon returning to school. More information about the relocation process, pick-up/drop-off zones, school entrance/exit points, waiting areas, etc. will be sent to our parents during the holiday. Initially, we had wanted to organise an official opening ceremony, however Covid19 has changed this too like everything else. Depending on the pandemic measures, we still want to hold a ceremony for our school community. Notification will be sent accordingly.

We look forward to a new beginning in semester 2 with all our students under the roof of one building.
